Established in 1993, Gameone is the pioneer in developing computer games in Hong Kong. In 1994, Gameone launched its maiden console game "Bumping Warrior " , which heralded the beginning of a new era in the local computer game industry. In the subsequent five years, Gameone has launched five games namely "Wooing 365 Days ", " King of Sales ", " Amika- City of Corrosion ", " Destroyman ", and " Beelzebub ". These products were highly acclaimed by game lovers in both domestic and overseas markets. Since then, Gameone has been regarded by the industry as the most productive and consistent game development team.

In 1998, Gameone completed the strategic role-playing game "Warlocks" in less than a year's time. The game received very good responses in the market and was awarded "Merit Prize of Software Development" presented by the Hong Hong Bureau of Science and Technology. This marked a major milestone for the company's computer game business. " Warlocks " also achieved phenomenal success in other Asian countries like Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. It is the very first Hong Kong designed and produced game to gain such widespread popularity in the Southeast Asian region. In addition, TGL, a leading Japanese computer game manufacturer successfully launched the game's local version in Japan. This made Gameone one of a handful of companies from the Greater China region to successfully break into the Japan computer game market.

In 1999, Gameone was officially authorized by 小學館 of Japan to publish " Doreamon " in Hong Kong, thus making Gameone the only strategic partner of 小學館in the Greater China region. The game has become an all-time bestseller with over 100,000 copies sold.

Gameone continued its focus on developing high quality computer games. In 2000 and 2001, two famous games namely " Dragonman " and " Old Master Q" were launched. They were licensed by Mr. Tony Wong Yuk Long and Mr. Wong Chak respectively. A 3D RPG , " Eternal Saga ", was specifically launched to target the Japanese market.

In 2003, Gameone has obtained the license of "Hello Kitty" from Sanrio Co. Ltd., the internationally renowned gift and stationery company best known for its popular Hello Kitty character, to develop the game "Hello Kitty Party". It is a popular game among the young and those young-at-heart.

Gameone has set its sight on the rapidly developing Chinese economy and is enthusiastic in participating in the PRC's computer game industry. In 2000, Gameone first entered the PRC market by setting up it's wholly-owned subsidiary "互動智傲軟件(深圳)有限公司" in Shenzhen ("Gameone Shenzhen") and Mr. Sze Yan Ngai was appointed as the Managing Director of the subsidiary. Presently Gameone Shenzhen has over 50 employees and it has developed several famous games such as "Dragon and Phoenix", " Lu Xiao Feng" (adapted from Gulong's martial arts fictions). Gameone Shenzhen also has substantial involvement in developing games "Gulong Online", "Seven Weapons" and "The Spiritual Villa". At the beginning of the year, Gameone Shenzhen has joined forces with its Hong Kong head office to produce the 3D online game "Eternal Saga Online". Moreover, the company is currently working on its first online game "Gulong 2.0".

In order to sustain its rapid and extensive expansion, Gameone invited its current Singaporean shareholder to inject US$ 5 million in 2001. In the same year, Gameone was authorized by Mr. Gulong to develop a representative game "Gulong Online", which contains plots and characters from Mr. Gulong's 56 martial arts fictions.

"Gulong Online" was first launched in the year 2002 and immediately became the most popular online game in Hong Kong. The number of console users has reached a staggering 200,000. In 2003, the success of "Gulong Online" has earned Gameone "The 1st Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Excellence Awards" and the "Cyberport Award", presented by the Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administration Region.

Apart from it's primary computer game business, publishing is another major business segment of Gameone. In 1998, Gameone has set up its own publishing and distribution departments and published its first magazine "PC Game Weekly". It was the first computer game magazine of its kind in Hong Kong at that time. Prompted by the good responses to "PC Game Weekly", Gameone published its second magazine "Player Online". These two magazines are the current market leaders and have made an immeasurable contribution to the online game industry.

In 2004, the Chinese University of Hong Kong together with the Hong Kong Productivity Council have successfully cooperated with Gameone Online Entertainment Group Ltd and DigitForce Computer Entertainment Ltd. in obtaining an Innovative and Technology Fund sponsored by HKSAR to implement a R&D project named " Enabling tools for the Design and Development of Chinese Style Game Characters, Sceneries and Effects", which will be the first of such tools for the Hong Kong game industry.
